Marilyn Manson Announce New Guitarist, Album Plans

Marilyn Manson attended the ETP Festival 2008 press conference in Seoul, South Korea. Manson announced that they have a new guitarist in the band, Wes Borland and he will be playing live with them at the ETP Festival.

Manson also mentioned that he has been working on the new record, they started writing the record about six months ago, and are currently in the middle of recording, but taking a break to play at the ETP Festival. Marilyn Manson is headling the ETP Festival on August 15th.

Actually Borland wasn't certain of his future in the music industry. He stated in a hypothetical manner that he wouldn't really care if he left music. Whether that day be today or years from now, he would just go where life would take him. I would miss his contributions to the music world if he gave it all up.

with borland in the band the creative juices should reach an all time high. should be pretty good product if they include borland on the album and allow him to have his say on the album

He was Limp Bizkit's guitarist for a good part of their career. Hate that band as much as I may, Wes is an incredibly talented guitarist.

Probably because he constantly hears "DUDE! DIDN'T YOU USE TO BE IN LIMP BIZKIT?"

Not a single soul lets him forget that he was in that band.

We all know though that Wes will probably be for the better part the live guitarist, with Twiggy playing most on the album, but i'm sure Wes will contribute a thing or two...what i'd like is for Wes to do stuff along the lines of his "Big Dumb Face" work.
