Marilyn Manson Band Member Found Dead

Marilyn Manson's former bandmate Gidget Gein has been found dead, according to reports.

The bass player, whose real name was Brad Stewart, played in Manson's band from 1989 until 1993, when he was fired and replaced by Twiggy Ramirez.

He went on to make music with the band Gidget Gein and the Dali Gaggers, and later as Gollywood.

Stewart was found dead at his home in Burbank, Los Angeles on Thursday (October 9) after a suspected drug overdose. He was 39.

However, Los Angeles County Coroners Office have said they will not issue any further information until the musician's family have been informed of the situation.

That's a shame. Whether you liked his style of music or not, it's always sad to see a talent go in such a manner. My condolences go out to his family.

The double edged sword of drug use... on one hand it can reduce motivation (to the point of null such as here) and skill while on the other hand boost creativity through the ceiling.

Love Marilyn Manson. Personally, think Twiggy's a better bassist but Gein was pretty good too, and I love basically all Manson music. I really liked Gidget's solo stuff and Gollywood though. This sucks. R.I.P

He was kinda like Mustaine in Metallica; never on the album or anything. Only got writing credits for a few songs. He was out the band before the first album was out.

Gidget was hooked on Heroin a lot. Overdosed on it so many times, it was an overdose on it that caused the band to finally break up with him.

What the hell is up with celebrities being found dead in their homes (or hotels for that matter) from drug overdoses?

I'm not a huge fan of Manson, but it's sad, nonetheless. Rest in peace, Gidget.
