Massive Sales Boost For The White Stripes

After news broke that The White Stripes were no more, sales have increased dramatically.

According to figures on Amazon.co.uk, the band's 2010 live album and documentary Under Great White Northern Lights saw a 2,644% increase after the announcement of their demise.

It is currently second in the website's Movers & Shakers chart, which follows high-rising releases.

Amazon’s Movers & Shakers chart, which tracks high performing albums, sees two other White Stripes albums in the Top 10:

  • White Blood Cells - up 612% to #5
  • Elephant - up 402% to #7

    While Jack White is very talented, I'm glad to see the White Stripes retire with respectablity. Garage Rocks' mainstream appeal is waning, and I'm glad to see them go out while they're still on the top.

    The next big thing will hopefully be flutecore.

    Providing that it is a business move and they broke up, because they foresaw the market pertaining to their music and didn't want there houses to foreclose, they will get back together and every concert for fans should be free.
    Jack White pulled a 50cent, sort of.
