Ummm...lots of people? It's significant because A Clockwork Orange is one of the finest movies ever made and the Rolling Stones and Beatles are two of the finest bands to make music. Mick Jagger would have done well but Malcolm McDowell was by far the better choice. If you haven't read the book or scene the movie, do both...even though the book is far superior.

ahha im reading the book for school, and its actually an amazing book! i cant wait to see the movie! and i also really could not imagine mcjagger being alex, that would have been pretty weird.

Yeah the original idea that Anthony Burgess had was for Mick to play Alex and the rest of the band to be his droogs. That would be kinda cool to see like Keith Richards beat up Mick Jagger.
