Mr Big Reunion

artist: date: 05/14/2008 category: general music news

A Mr. Big "almost-reunion" took place at guitarist Paul Gilbert's solo show at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, California last Wednesday (May 7). Paul invited his former MR. BIG bandmates Billy Sheehan and Pat Torpey, along with fellow ex-MR. BIG guitarist Richie Kotzen (he joined the band as Paul's replacement) to his stage and they played two MR. BIG songs: "30 Days in the Hole" (with Kotzen on vocals), and "Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy" (with Gilbert and Mike Szuter from Paul's band on vocals). According to one fan who attended the concert, "The crowd went crazy when three guys showed up on the stage."

MR. BIG is best known for its 1992 acoustic hit, "To Be with You".

Thanks for the report to Blabbermouth.net.

i was there! Paul was like well since we got Pat Torpey here lol and he basically said the same thing for Billy Sheehan. for the solo Kotzen gilbert and Sheehan busted out the electric drills! I just wish they played a few more songs together. And I really wish Eric Martin was there. Still one of the greatest shows I have ever gone to.
