Muse Split Rumours Revealed As Hoax

Rumours that appeared online on November 28 that Muse are set to split have been revealed as a hoax.

Rumours about the band calling it a day spread across the internet last night after a reported fake NME.com page was posted on Twitter.

The fake page said Muse had allegedly split following arguments within the band whilst recording their new album.

The news story was automatically dismissed by Muse's representatives.

The band whose last album "The Resistance" came out back in September 2009 are currently recording its follow-up.

Muse have been touring extensively over the past year, playing the Reading and Leeds festivals among others, but look set to take a breather at least for the moment.

It will come at a perfect time, with singer Matt Bellamy having to juggle being a new father with the band's grueling schedule - his wife Kate Hudson recently giving birth to their first child in July.

Heard nothing of this, just saw "Muse" and "Split" on the front page and jumped a bit hahaha. And everybody is really hating on The Resistance, I personally find that album beautiful. Different, but nice. I would enjoy a new rock-driven album just as much as a new Resistance-esqe one.

Never heard of any rumours but I'm glad they're not true. Also don't see the hate for The Resistance--I thought it was a great album. To each his own, I suppose. Can't wait for the next release and hopefully I finally get to see them live.
