My Chemical Romance, Muse Poisoned

My Chemical Romance and support act Muse deeply regret that they have had to cancel several dates on their current tour due to members of My Chemical Romance band and crew and members of Muse’s crew being struck with serious food poisoning.

The nationwide tour, supporting My Chemical Romance’s platinum album The Black Parade and Muse’s album, Black Holes And Revelations, was brought to a standstill on Sunday when several members of My Chemical Romance’s band and crew and members of Muse’s crew became violently ill after the show at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, VA.

With multiple people scattered in hospitals between State College, PA and Columbus, OH, the bands were forced to cancel Sunday night’s show at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, PA and postpone the show in Columbus, OH from Tuesday, May 1st to Wednesday, May 2nd, provided everyone has recovered.

The show originally scheduled for tomorrow night at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, PA has been cancelled.

My Chemical Romance and Muse would like their fans to know that they hope to resume the tour as soon as possible. Tickets for the April 29th Bryce Jordan and May 2nd Pittsburgh show will be refunded at point of purchase and My Chemical Romance hope to make it back there before the end of the year.

I would agree with you, but in america MCR are probably much more famous than muse, so makes sense to have them as the main act. But anyway, muse put on one hell of a show so i'm sure they're making MCR look pretty sh*t every night, can't wait ot see them in Wembley (Muse, that is)

When Muse did their UK tour they had mcr supporting for some dates, coz Muse are much bigger/appreciated here (thankfully some of us still don't put up with mcr's pish XD).

But over in America, mcr are (apparently) bigger, so they're the headlining act and Muse are supporting (although I think this is the same tour where Rise Against were supporting for half the tour, then Muse).

MCR headlined. I go to William and Mary. I didn't stay for MCR. I've heard that the school used the same catering service that it uses for all of the business school functions. The food is never great, but I've never known anyone to get sick from it. So, who knows? Just one of those random things.

Look I enjoy some MCR, but their songs are more mainstream then Muse? I've heard Muse on the radio twice. I hear MCR every day, most of the time multiple times a day. None of my friends know who Muse even is, they think it is only an intangible thing. MCR everyone knows because they are too mainstream. I dont like either band, I think they both suck, not my type of music. I hope their all alright. Perhaps MCR is headlining because their album is Platinum, Muse dont have a platinum Album... So if you want to argue about popularity..... MRC wins... as record sales shows... or perhaps MRC just has more loyalfans that actually pay for their album

im not a big MCR fan, but i dont care what ppl listen to. U listen to what u wanna listen to and thats fine. But how ANYBODY can describe muse as 'crap' is beyond comprehension. Even if u dont like their music, surely, anyone with half a brain cell can understand that it is damn clever stuff, and they have amazing technical ability. They might not suit everybody's taste, but thats not to say they are anything less than brilliant at what they do. Oh yeah, and muse are not and never have been mainstream. But if they were i wouldnt care, they are fanny fantastic

MRC? My Romance Chemical? Heh. Here's some interesting facts for you:
- A band gets about 10 cents per record sold. The company and store get the rest. That's just for a GOOD contract too.
- If you want to support a band and be loyal, buy merchandise for them, and go to a concert. The band gets that money.

Technically, just because to buy their album, doesn't mean you're a loyal fan. You're more loyal by taking the time to go their concert.

MCR's latest album is a hell of a lot better than their older stuff, which actually sucks badly.

Now, here's the thing, Muse has had their entire discography more high quality than anything MCR can do. WAY more high quality. My opinion. I don't wish MCR death, nobody deserves death. I just wish they'll continue heading to a better musical direction.

Wish both Muse and MCR the best of health and a great tour once they're better.

muse came to Australia a little while ago and put on such an awesome show. its hard to imagine a band trying to follow them, but i hope they all get better anyway. food poisoning does suck.

I am one of those deeply disappointed fans that right now should be at the concert. This sucks. I also hoped and thought that food poisoning was a day or two thing but I have now been told that depending on the severity it can last days or weeks. Knocks the shit out of you.
I am a fan of both bands and I hope all members and crew are fine soon.
