Necrophagist Part Ways With Guitarist

German death metallers Necrophagist have parted ways with guitarist Christian Münzner due to "scheduling conflicts." The band are currently seeking a replacement. Interested parties can send bio and link to MP3 samples to get an audition to [e-mail].

Necrophagist will undertake a U.S. tour in April/May prior to their previously announced concerts in Canada (which are scheduled to take place in early June). The band will play approximately 30 shows covering the entire country, including an appearance at this year's Maryland Deathfest, which set to take place May 27-28, 2006 at the Sonar in Baltimore. Tour dates, venues and support acts will be announced within the next two weeks.

Necrophagist's Canadian tour will take place in the provinces of Quebec and Ontario from June 1 to June 10. For their first visit to Canada, the German band will be touring with Ion Dissonance (Canada), Arsis (United States) and Alarum (Australia).

no, i don't wish i could play like them. i've been there and done that. i was in a death metal band 10 years ago. i've grown beyond it. plus, i play bass. i'd like to be heard once in a while. not just when the guitar stops.

honestly as a guitar player bass player and a drummer how the **** could you stand going from ripping haywire creative riffs and intense solos to bumpin along on the bass i could on understand why if you went to playing bass in a death metal band because most death metal bass lines eseacially necrophagist are harder than guitar
