Noel Gallagher Has Writing Surge

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has experienced a sudden burst of writing inspiration during the band's South American tour.

In a blog written after one of the band's gigs, Gallagher revealed he had nearly finished five new tracks during the jaunt.

He also paid tribute to the band's South American fans for being "truly amazing" during the tour.

"Had to scarper after the gig", Gallagher wrote.

"Would have loved to have stayed and re-lived the 90s but the writing bug has gripped me.

"Nearly wrote 5 new songs on this leg alone! Gotta get them down while it's still happening."

He added: "I speak directly to you people of South America. You have been truly amazing.

"It's been a privilege to play for you. The memories of this little tour will live with me for a long time. Mucho gracias and obrigado."

Oasis' world tour restarts in their hometown of Manchester on June 4th.

Im a bit bored of Oasis news... mainly becasue its boring in itself - I expect a musician to write music, big deal. And I thought the other day was all drama becasue they were splitting up, now theres half a new album written? I suppose it could be his solo thing though...I dunno... I just think Oasis should bow out now before I go into a coma from their tedious music/news grabbing.

Nah Noel Gallagher writes most of the songs by himself, whether the band splits or not has nothing to-do with what he's writing, unless that's inspired his lyrics.

Noel has never hidden the fact that he steals riffs and chord progressions. In fact he said himself in an interview years ago 'Are you angry that I do it, or jealous that you didn't think of it first?'

Could be either, but I've read that Noel is keen for everyone in the band to pursue other projects now. I'd love to see a solo album from Noel, with different musicians on it.

Well you could have phrased it better but I do agree with you. No matter what you may think of them you have to admit they've written some awesome songs that will still be popular for decades to come.

And the last 3 albums havent been bad at all, nothing like the first 2, but still good albums.
