OK Go Land Muppets For New Video

Cult indie band OK Go are to team up with the Muppets in their next video.

The group, who made headlines with their synchronised treadmill promo for "Here We Go Again", are set to wow fans after signing up the lovable puppets for their next video.

Frontman Damian Kulash tells Billboard.com the new track, which he and his bandmates have recorded for the forthcoming "Muppets: The Green Album", is a "twisted, kind of dark" interpretation of the "Muppet Show Theme".

Kulash says:

"We played President Obama's birthday party this week, and while I love the president, I gotta say, I'm even more excited about making a video with the Muppets."

Also, on August 9, OK Go will release the "All Is Not Lost" EP. Available worldwide through iTunes and from okgo.net, it will feature the album track, a live version, and remixes by Keys N Krates and Serious Business, along with an HD, non-interactive version of the video.

Hey if they want to wow us with their videos good for them, some bands just enjoy that. Although weezer did a video for Keep Fishing with the muppets so... but Ok Go are still awesome because they give people the best visuals to go along with the songs.

You know, I've noticed a lot of people don't like this bands music, but dig their videos (myself included). Maybe they should quit writing music and just produce and direct videos for other bands.

I love Ok GO. Music and lyrics. They also put on amazing shows. They pulled me up on stage to play the guitar part for "Here it Goes Again" awesome

I absolutely love their videos, which are ingenious, and their music is OK, but for the love of God, if I hear another band put out "The [insert color here] Album" I'm going to hang myself. It was original when The Beatles did it, and Metallica made a good antithetical pun on them, but that should have been the end of it.
