Opeth: Fan-taken Photos Needed For Upcoming Reissues
Candlelight Records is looking for fan-taken photos of Opeth from the group's early years to be used in connection with the upcoming reissues of the band's "Orchid" (1995), "Morningrise" (1996) and "My Arms, Your Hearse" (1998) masterpieces. Send in any Opeth pictures you have from this period (1995-1998) and they may be featured in the reissue artwork. Fans whose photos are used will be immortalized with a credit in the album artwork, and will also receive a free copy of the album complete with their name in it! All pictures should be sent to conord@plastichead.com (please note the pictures must be your originals for which you hold full copyright). Peter Lindgren recently stepped down from his guitar-wielding duties in Opeth after 16 years in the band. He has since been replaced by Fredrik kesson (Arch Enemy, Krux, Talisman). Opeth recorded its November 9, 2006 concert at the Roundhouse in London, England for an upcoming DVD. The disc will contain the show (filmed in HD), band interviews, fan interviews as well as photo galleries. A fall release is expected. The special-edition deluxe version of Opeth's "Ghost Reveries" CD was released on October 31, 2006 via Roadrunner Records. Bonus material on the set includes the band's cover of Deep Purple's "Soldier of Fortune", a 40-minute documentary about the making of the record complete with the band's own private tour footage, the video for "The Grand Conjuration", liner notes, photos, an enhanced 24-page booklet, deluxe sleeve, and 5.1 surround exclusive mix of the record made by original mixed/engineer Jens Bogren. Thanks for the info to Blabbermouth.net.
