Paramore: 'Don't Elect Hillary Clinton, She's Crazy!'

Tennessee rockers Paramore dropped by for Gigwise’s Tuborg Webchat Wednesday February 6 and, as expected, in a year-and-a-half of chats it was our busiest one yet.

Fans from all over the globe, including their huge Brazilian community, posed their questions to guitarist Josh Farro and bassist Jeremy Davis and there was a variety of hot topics talked about – including religion and the US Presidential race.

When asked who they were backing to be the next President, Josh replied: “I haven’t really looked into US politicians that much this year. I really hope Hillary Clinton doesn’t get elected cause she’s crazy!!!!”

In response, Renan wrote: “The US needs a crazy person in charge, no offence.” Before Josh replied: “Why do we need a crazy person in charge? What good would that do?”

Elsewhere during the chat, Josh compared Amy Winehouse to another fallen pop star, saying: “Amy winehouse is the British version of Britney spears.”

Talking about his favourite current music, Jeremy revealed that he’s listening to Christian metalcore band Oh Sleeper, Iron and Wine and Death Cab for Cutie.

The pair also confirmed that they have no plans to make rhythm guitarist Taylor York a permanent member of the band yet, saying it “we don’t wanna add a member right now. We feel that it would be too confusing.”

if he hasn't looked into US politicians much, then his opinions on Clinton's ability to be president aren't credible. (I'm not saying i'm behind her, i'm just saying its ridiculous to take what he said seriously because he is uniformed, ignorant, and thus not credible.)

if she does win, i hope she proves him wrong and is a solid president. I hope any president that we get will be a solid leader.

I'd second his opinion and add that everybody running for president this year is crazy. They're all a bunch of power hungry bureaucrats who want nothing more than to dip their hands into the cookie jar. Before long we'll be nostalgic for the days that Bush was president.

Paramore is emo, accept it. They use the same chords, music and singing style as the rest of those bands out there. THe only difference between this band and all the others is that the lead singer is female and a half-way decent singer. THat doesn't necessarily make it good music. I saw them open for Jimmy Eat World, eh...

Yeah, i don't think that many people will vote for Hilary, from what i've heard from friends and others, its gonna be Obama. I just hope he can handle it, without getting assasinated ofcourse.

i don't think hilary should be president, but josh's comments are pretty vague. if he specified a little bit it would probly sound better.

they have two songs with screaming in it but i think they should have more. Josh can scream really well and i dont really like screaming.

paramore is not emo, they're pop. big difference, and you never seen em open for jew cause they havent toured with them yet. that tour starts in april.
