As previously reported, Poison frontman Bret Michaels was injured following a performance by the band at the Tony Awards in New York City when he failed to get backstage before a set piece descended upon him.
Michaels’ publicist, Joann Mignano, tells the Associated Press that Michaels had an X-ray done after his performance and was told he received a nose fracture. Additionally, he had to get three stitches in his lip. The singer is also planning to get a CAT scan done as a precaution due to a past neck injury.
She adds that while the singer was injured he maintained a good spirit and was joking about the incident backstage while wiping blood off his face.
Poison performed their classic song "Nothin' But A Good Time" that night and are expected to go on tour later this month with Def Leppard and Cheap Trick when Michaels finishes touring with his solo act.
