Radiohead Have CD Of New Material

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has revealed that the band have compiled all of their new material on a CD.

The band are going to listen to the work over the next week while they are on a small hiatus from the studio.

The singer says that he is “nervous” about taking a step back to listen to the material so far.

He writes:

“radiohead starts up again having finally caught up on some sleep next week
i have a cd of what we;'ve been up to...
and you haven't.
yet.
(sorry)

i must listen to it, after taking an ear break
that always makes me nervous”

In a slightly more long-winded posting, Mr Yorke is also calling on the British public to have their say on the climate change law the government are proposing.

He writes:

“if you can be arsed you can take part in saying what you think the bill should contain
this is a public consultation, as the government calls it
(except when it's about nuclear power..)”

I've only just started getting into Radiohead but Yorke's vocals and lyrics make me drool (i have The Bends, which has almost been on constant repeat since i got it a few weeks ago) and so i seriuosly can't wait, these guys are quickly becoming my favourite band (like everyone else i already knew creep but i only really started liking them when i heard Fake Plastic Trees)

I love radiohead, they are my favourite band ever but i think we would be dreaming to think they would make another album like the bends (nor would i want them to). It would be stretching just for them to make another album like ok computer and i sure they wont even do that. No my friends, their next album will be something wholely different like practically ever other album they've made. Thats why you love them!?!

Well, it's never too late my friend. Start with the Bends and OK Computer. If you don't know what to expect out of this band you may not be into Kid A and their other albums. I wasn't at first, but now Kid A is my favorite album. OK Computer and everything afterwards send chills down my spine when I put it in to my CD player, before hearing a single note. Radiohead is one of those bands that I would love no matter what, however, I really hope their new album sounds big....really big.

I never said another album like the Bends, I woould like to hear a little Bends influence. I love Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief and everything in between. I want to hear something totally different from them and I don't want them to regress. But, being a guitar player, I'd like to be able to play the majority of songs on the album when I sit with my guitar, like the Bends or OK Computer. I do not want a carbon copy, just more unstructured guitar, is that so wrong?
