RHCP Songs Reportedly Used By CIA as Torture Device in Guantanamo Bay
According to a new Al Jazeera report, CIA has used Red Hot Chili Peppers music as one of the torture methods on Guantanamo Bay prisoners.

Specifically, RHCP tunes were classified among "enhanced interrogation" methods meant to mentally break prisoners and get them to talk.

The report even singles out a prisoner named Zayn al-Abidin Muhammad Husayn Abu Zubaydah who was subjected to the music torture while being shackled and stuffed into a pet crate. The method was meant to "batter the detainee's senses."

Although this mean of torture does seem a bit peculiar, RHCP are certainly not the first rock act whose music was used for similar purposes. As reported, Metallica, Bruce Springsteen and Demon Hunter all had their tracks featured in torture chambers.
