RHCP to Perform Led Zeppelin's 'Dazed and Confused' at Super Bowl Halftime Show
Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith discussed the band's plans for upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance, announcing a cover of classic Led Zeppelin track "Dazed and Confused."

Telling Artisan News that the invitation caught the group by surprise, Smith briefly added: "We're gonna play Led Zeppelin's live version of 'Dazed and Confused.'" The drummer was also asked about potential collaborations for the show, but couldn't reveal any details, noting that "it's a surprise."

In related news, bassist Flea confirmed that despite the previous Twitter announcement, he won't be flashing the Super Bowl crowd. Probably looking to stir up the notoriously strict halftime show organizers, Flea posted on his official account: "Anybody wanna see my c--k at the Super Bowl?" The tweet was soon taken off, but not fast enough to prevent the news from reaching global music community.

TMZ recently caught up with the bassist, who refused to say much, but did specifically point out that "they'd chop his head off" in case he proceeded with the flashing idea.

Super Bowl 2014 is scheduled to take place on February 2 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The halftime show will be headlined by Bruno Mars.
