Ronnie Wood: 'Touring With Keith Richards Used To Be A Pain'
The Rolling Stones' guitarist Ronnie Wood has admitted that he used to find touring with Keith Richards "a pain". According to NME, Wood said that his last experience on the road with Richards had been problematic due to his hard-partying lifestyle - but also insisted that it was now a "pleasure" to play with him live. He said: "Keith is a pleasure to play with now. It was a pain on the last tour, toward the end, because he was really going for it on the drinking and denial." Wood went on to add: "Now he's realised that he has gotta look after himself. I'm not going to preach to him. I will step in if I see any danger." Earlier this month, The Rolling Stones announced two huge London dates for November. The rock legends will play London's O2 Arena on November 25 and 29 to celebrate their 50th anniversary. They will also be playing two nights at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey in the US on December 13 and 15. All the dates sold out in minutes. Earlier (October 25), meanwhile, the band warmed up for the forthcoming arena dates with a 12-song intimate gig in Paris.
