Norwegian gothic metal band Sirenia has launched a vocalist search following the recent departure of Danish singer Monika Pedersen due to "musical differences." "We are looking for a talented singer with experience, a cool image and a strong passion for music," the group says in a statement. "Someone who is willing to give the band a high priority for many years to come. Please send us a biography, some recent photos and an mp3/wma file of your voice. If you have your own MySpace site, send us the link."
Sirenia's new album, "
Nine Destinies and a Downfall", entered the German Media Control chart in March at position No. 54. The album was recorded at Jailhouse studios in Norway with engineer Hans Eidsgard and Soundsuite studios in France with Terje Refsnes and was mixed and mastered at Antfarm studios in Aarhus, Denmark with Tue Madsen.
Sirenia's video for the song "The Other Side" can be viewed below. The clip was helmed by the renowed Serbian production company I-Code (Deathstars, Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Scar Symmetry), which previously worked with the group on the "My Mind's Eye" video.
