Static-X Recruits Former Danzig Drummer

Static-X frontman Wayne Static has issued the following update from the road:

"I want to thank everyone who's been coming out to the shows to support us. Almost every show has been sold out so far and we're having a lot of fun out here as usual. Nick [Oshiro, drums] has stayed on tour with us despite his broken hand so he can participate in band appearances and signings. [Fill-in drummer] Will Hunt [Tommy Lee, Dark New Day, Skrape, Stuck Mojo] has done a great job hitting the drums for the past ten days, but he has prior commitments with Dark New Day and Vince Neil, so Orlando was his last show. Next up on the drums is Bevan Davies. He's played with Jerry Cantrell, Danzig, and Comes With The Fall, and will stay out with us for the next few weeks until Nick has fully recovered.

"For those who can't make it out to see us this time around, don't worry. We're working on summer tour plans and I hope to make an announcement about that very soon."

Sucks that Nick got hurt, but it's cool that he's staying on the road with them. I'll be seeing them next Sunday and I am pumped for it!

im glad to hear that heavy bands are still selling out venues!!! I hope that this will help their label realize they've got something special here. Maybe we're hear a little more from them on out radios and tv maybe? I damn sure hope so!

I really hope the rest of the tour goes well for them, and I'll definately go see them again this summer!

I'm not in static x, at least not until cannibal(now i think I'll check out their earlier releases also) it was a shame about their drummer, but its good that they have rejoined with full force. Guess all the boys are really pumped up. amazing what a good album can do.....good for them

for the guys who posted liking cannibal as the first stuff theyve heard from them, wisconsin death trip, machine are brilliant albums if you like cannibal, im glad theyre back in form.

This isn't back in form - it's a thrash speed metal crap fest. I'm a pretty huge static-x fan, but this album is abhorrent, and comparing it to Wisconsin Death Trip of Machine should be a punishable offense. If you like Cannibale, you'll love their older albums, which weren't one dimensional and filled with song after song that sounds exactly the same. I wish people would look at music and judge it fairly, not just lap up every puddle their favorite band squeezes out.

Sucks about Nick's hand, though. He's an insanely good drummer. Sorry about all my previous typos too.. can't all be winners I guess.
