Sting has silenced rumours of another The Police tour - insisting a second reunion would be "dreadful and gratuitous". The warring bandmates put aside their differences to thrill fans around the world with comeback dates in 2007 and 2008 - their first live shows together since 1983. Drummer Stewart Copeland recently refused to rule out another reunion, telling reporters, "I intend to be on the planet here for another 50 years; who knows what'll happen." But frontman Sting is adamant the band is no more. He says, "With The Police I think we did tie it up. And now it's done. (Another reunion would be) dreadful and gratuitous, and it wouldn't work." Thanks for the report to Contactmusic.com.
