took some time to express his utmost gratitude to Linkin Park
and their stance on singer Chester Bennington
joining the STP ranks.
DeLeo told Artisan News

] Shinoda offering his services, I mean really - it's just pretty amazing."
During the rest of the chat, Bennington chipped in to share some of his thoughts on working with STP, confessing he was surprised by how effective and spontaneous DeLeo brothers can be in the studio. He also pointed out that there's still "a lot of work to do. We have a lot of songs to get done."
STP have released their first effort with Bennington on vocals today via 13Star Records. Titled "High Rise
," the five-track EP was already streamed in full
As for the group's legal battle with former singer Scott Weiland
, DeLeo previously stressed that giving up on his dreams and livelihood isn't something he'll ever consider doing.
"This is our livelihood, this is our boyhood dreams,"
the guitarist told Fuse TV
. "I'm not going to let anyone pull it out from under me, especially the guy I'm in business with. I earned it. If I put 20 or so years into something, I deserve it to be quite blunt. I own it, it's mine."
