While Michael Buble's "Christmas" album held on strong to the #1 spot on the sales chart this week - handily selling 479,000 copies for its third week at #1 - The Black Keys had their biggest debut ever at #2 with "El Camino", shifting 206,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This marks both their highest chart position and best sales week ever, after 2010's Brothers debuted and peaked at #3 with 73,000.
Adele's "
21" is the #3 album this week with another 187,000 sold, and
Justin Bieber's "
Under The Mistletoe" is #4 with 158,000. The posthumous
Amy Winehouse set, "
Lioness: Hidden Treasures", earns a #5 start, selling almost 114,000 units in its first week in stores. This gives the late singer her highest-debuting album ever, after "
Back To Black" debuted at #7, according to
Billboard.com.
The rest of the Top 10 was filled out by Andrea Bocelli at #6 with "Concerto: Live In Central Park", Drake at #7 with "Take Care", and Nickelback's "Here And Now" at #8. However, the last two slots were taken up by new debuts as "Glee: The Music Volume 7" starts off at #9 with 58,300 sold, and Korn bows at #10 with their new dubstep album, "The Path Of Totality", shifting 54,700. This marks the band's 11th Top 10 set, after their first came with 1996's "Life Is Peachy".
Just outside the Top 10, The Roots enter the chart at #16 with "Undun", selling 48,000 units, and Chevelle returns at #19 with "Hats Off To The Bull", selling 43,000.
