The Darkness Reunion In 2009

The Darkness are considering reforming for a new album and tour, according to newspaper reports.

The band, who split in 2006, are apparently considering an offer made by the US entrepreneur behind the Dubai Desert Rocks festival to tour in 2009, reports The Sun.

However, bitter internal disputes between all four band members may put any possible reunion in jeopardy.

Relations between singer Justin Hawkins and brother/guitarist Dan Hawkins have apparently been strained since the band's break-up, and the guitarist and drummer Ed Graham are also suing the band's management over money they claim they are owed.

Bassist Frankie Poullain left the group in 2005, though it is not clear if a proposed reunion would include him.

As previously reported, Justin Hawkins' new band Hot Leg made their live debut at London's Proud Galleries on August 6.

I remember seeing them at the Barrowlands just before they became massive back in 2004. Bar-none, one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Ever.

Oddly enough, I was also wondering what happened to Justin the other day. I'd personally really like to see them get back together - without the second bassist. Frankie was a legend.

They are not considering reforming. Not at all. Justin is more then happy with Hotleg, and likewise for Dan and Richie in Stone Gods. They have all said in every interview since the Darkness split, that they will not get back together. End of.

Well Justin and Dan's relationship has definitely improved because I went to see Stone Gods at the London Astoria last month and Justin Hawkins was watching. I wouldn't mind a reform so I can see them live again just maybe not a permanent one. I don't know because Stone Gods are quality, so I don't want them to go.

I would like to see this happen, this band brought back a kind of classic rock sound for a period of time, and they were just having fun with it. I'm not a big fan, so I won't be extremely dissappointed if they don't but I think it'd be cool.

they have a HUGE fanbase, their first album went 6X platinum, and with how the music industry is now it's hard enough to just go platinum

Seeing now they won best album of the year twice for their only 2 albums, I'd say alot of ppl does, but you don't have to believe me, go search up how big their albums were and how countless ppl have named their album, "the best rock album to come out for over a decade." And for you Anjohl, that is why they are so good. Both the guitarists in the band could do both which basically adds up to them being twice as good as any band with just one "guitar god" and one "iconic singer," as well as one rhythm player.

Frankie wasn't on the second album (didn't play on Hazel Eyes). He left after the first album. Anyways I really hope they get back together although if they didn't break up Justin wouldn't have released his amazing cover of "This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us." I doubt it's gonna be this year that there is a reunion cus Hot Leg and Stone Gods JUST released there debut albums. I'd give it to at least 2010.
