The Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance, in partnership with Chittare, one of the most popular and highly regarded guitar magazines in Italy, has recently launched a fantastic new scholarship programme exclusively for Italian students of guitar or bass. The scholarship is additionally sponsored by Yamaha Guitars and is worth over £3,000.
The lucky winner will receive the opportunity to make the trip of a lifetime to London, with return flights plus a significant contribution to accommodation costs included, and will study at the Institute for three months.
This new scholarship programme follows on from the recent news that the Institute is developing a partnership with Sonus Factory, one of Italy’s leading schools of contemporary music based in Rome. Sonus Factory are collaborating with the Institute on this scholarship programme and full details on how to enter the competition online can be found at www.sonusfactory.com/theinstitute.
Institute Director Pete Whittard commented:
"We are delighted to be launching this new scholarship programme for students, in partnership with Chittare, sponsored by Yamaha Guitars and in collaboration with Sonus Factory. The Institute enjoys an unequalled reputation in the world of contemporary music education, and we have long attracted students from all over the world to our centre in London. We hope that this scholarship programme will enable talented and deserving students from Italy, who otherwise might not be able to study with us, an opportunity to develop their potential and experience life in London, the music capital of the world!"
The deadline for entries is March 23rd. So if you are an Italian guitarist or bassist and would like the chance to study at the Institute in London, make your application now!
