Fans still holding their breath for a Blink-182 reunion should probably come up for air soon. Speaking with Buzznet.com, Tom Delonge wants fans to know that he is completely fulfilled with his work with Angels & Airwaves and there is no possible way that the now defunct Blink-182 will ever tour together or record music again.
"
Yeah, we won't," the singer responds when asked if
Blink-182 would ever make music again. "
For a bunch of diplomatic and political reasons, we called it whatever back in the day, but it was a breakup. I've moved on. I believe that now I've found a place in my life where I'm happier than I've ever been and I'm with the best people I've ever been with and I'm making the best music and art I've ever made. So when people ask me if I'm ever going back to Blink, there's just no possible way. I'm in a totally different place, and I'm so happy. In Angels & Airwaves, I truthfully think it has infinite potential to be and do anything it wants to do."
What does this mean for the future? Clearly Angels & Airwaves will continue to thrive and Blink-182 will never play music again. And why should they? Angels & Airwaves are doing great, Plus 44 is reportedly working on a new album, and Tom seems perfectly fine with never speaking with the other two members of Blink-182 ever again.
Indeed, it appears the last bit of dirt has been poured over Blink-182’s casket and there’s absolutely no chance the three members will ever work together again.
Ever.
UPDATE: And by the way, it's April 1st so don't take the news too serious ;)
