Hollywood's Avalon Theater will be the venue for the 2nd annual Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund Awards Gala
. The event will take place on October 31, 2012, and will be hosted by Eddie Trunk
of Black Sabbath
, who is undergoing his own courageous struggle with lymphoma, will receive the King Of Rock n' Roll Award
. Five other awards will be presented to various music industry bigwigs.
The Dio Disciples
, an all-star group comprised of former members of Dio
, with Tim "Ripper" Owens
) and Toby Jepsen
) on vocals, are booked to perform. Other musical acts have yet to be announced. Cirque Berzerk, which calls itself a "phantasmagoric spectacle
", will also provide entertainment.
