Norwegian dark gothic metal band Trail Of Tears will embark on its first North American tour beginning mid-January 2008 (postponed from the previously announced October/November). Exact dates, as well as support acts, will be announced soon.
Trail Of Tears was recently rejoined by vocalist Cathrine Paulsen, who sang on the group's 2002 album, "A New Dimension of Might".
Trail Of Tears's fifth album, "
Existentia", was issued in January via Napalm Records. The CD was recorded at Soundsuite Studio in Marseille, France with producer Terje Refsnes and includes contributions from French female singer
Emmanuelle Zoldan and Norwegian keyboard master
Bernt Moen.
Trail Of Tears members Jonathan Perez (drums), Kjell Hagen (bass), Runar Hansen (guitar) and Kjetil Nordhus (vocals) announced on November 28, 2006 that they were leaving the group. Vocalist Ronny Thorsen has since vowed to carry on with new members.
