U2: Bono, The Edge Invest In Dropbox

Bono and The Edge, who make up half of U2, have invested in Dropbox, according to a tweet by the cloud storage start-up on Monday.

The company, which raised a $250 million investment around this past October, tweeted a photo of the two musicians with co-founders Arash Ferdowsi and Drew Houston.

"@Dropbox is excited to welcome Bono & The Edge as investors. Thanks for the support and look forward to great things!" Dropbox tweeted.

Various reports value Dropbox at well more than $1 billion.

Bono has made major investments in technology companies through Elevation Partners, a private equity firm he co-founded that has invested in companies such as Facebook, Palm and Forbes.
