Who says you need a record deal to get the attention of millions? Thanks to the latest project conceived by Ultimate Guitar, you don’t even need to leave your house. Starting this Saturday, July 26, we’ll debut UG.TV Live!, a weekly webcast featuring a live performance by one band deemed to be the best of the best by UG users. Does your band’s music deserve to resonate in the homes of millions? Well, it’s time to get those webcams ready.
Each week you can nominate your own band to be a
UG.TV Live! performer through our application process, which is comprised of a few
quick and easy steps. Here’s a tip: Remember to take the visual aspect into consideration as well as the audio. Talent will play a significant role in who we select, but we want to also give viewers the ideal webcasting experience. After carefully reviewing all of the entries, we’ll post our finalists on the
UG.TV Live! homepage and open up voting to the UG community. The winners chosen by UG users will play live via the
UG.TV Live! webcast at the time/date of their choosing.
This Saturday at 12:30 pm PST (3:30 pm EST) marks our first UG.TV Live! featured band, Alaska’s The Suicide Nation. The Gothenberg-influenced metal outfit (vocalist/guitarist Jeremy Stegman, drummer Tory Riles, guitarist Gabe Pheiffier, and bassist Evans Willard) will webcast from an outdoor festival in the band’s hometown of Wasilla. For more information on The Suicide Nation, check out their UG Profile.
So if you’re ready to play for the masses like The Suicide Nation or you know a band that is looking for its big break, head on over to the UG.TV Live! homepage. You might just be casting a vote for the next Van Halen, Iron Maiden, or Metallica.
