Editor: Guitar Lessons
Ultimate Guitar is looking for experienced guitar teachers to author lesson plans for the company's guitar instructional products. Applicants must have substantial knowledge of guitar techniques, music theory and song transcription.
Editors will be responsible for authoring video lessons according to the company's defined standards and formats. You will be responsible for writing the script/copy for on-camera talent, printable lesson descriptions as well as transposing musical notation/tablature. In addition to being an experienced guitarist, you must be a writing superstar with superior writing and editing abilities.
This position is not located in a traditional office environment and requires someone who is an independent worker and self-motivated. This is a part-time position with flexible work hours.
Required Experience
Advanced-intermediate to advanced guitar-playing abilities Substantial knowledge of guitar techniques and music theory Ability to transcribe music by ear into guitar tablature Superior writing and communication skills.
Desired Experience
Masters degree in Music and/or Music Education
Published Author or on-camera teacher of guitar instructional product
Guitar-teaching experience

Editor-in-Chief: Guitar Lessons
Ultimate Guitar is looking for an experienced guitar teacher to design and author lesson plans for the company's guitar instructional products. The selected teacher must have substantial knowledge of guitar techniques, music theory, song transcription, lesson plan development and demonstrable experience in teaching beginning to intermediate guitar players.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing the standards used to create company's video lessons, including general lesson structure, on-camera instructor's script, printable lesson instruction and musical notation/tablature. The Editor-in-Chief: Guitar Lessons will also be responsible for writing the guidebook that will be used as an outline for other guitar teachers as well as reviewing and editing instructional product created by other teachers to ensure that submitted product is in line with published standards. Accordingly, superior writing and editing abilities are a must.

Passion for guitar and teaching others is a must.
Required Experience
8+ Years of guitar-playing experience
4+ Years teaching beginning to intermediate players
Substantial experience in lesson plan development
Knowledge of guitar techniques and music theory
Superior writing and communication skills
Desired Experience
Masters degree in Music and/or Music Education
Published Author or on-camera teacher of guitar instructional product
Management of editorial staff
