Tab Pro

First of all, you can add Tab Pro as an in-app purchase, available for $3.99. Tab Pro is an add-on to Ultimate Guitar Tabs giving you access to over 200,000 interactive Tabs. You can playback songs, switch between instruments and learn Tabs using a virtual guitar fretboard.

We included a free festive Tab Pro demo so you can see how awesome it really is on a small screen. We promise you'll be impressed. Tab Pro is also available as a stand-alone application.

I'll never understand what's wrong with just listening to the song and looking at a regular tab. This is far more complicated than it needs to be.

Isn't tab pro just a rip off of guitarpro? I mean, every song I've seen that has a guitarpro tab has a tab pro version. I don't like how this site keeps bugging me for money to stop being annoying or for features I just don't want... The app is pretty cool though, especially since i got it free from the Amazon appstore.

Stole? Read the terms of use. You give the rights of the tab to UG. But this issue is currently being addressed.

Whilst this is correct to some extent, read the terms of use. There is a clause in ther stating that content posted on this site can be used by UG.

If UG are going to be selling tabs that I spent a lot of time making (most of my tabs are Guitar Pro format), I want royalties. Yes UG has the right to use my tabs, which I accepted when I submitted them in the first place, but they never said anything about selling them for profit. I didn't have to spend my time making those tabs.

It's not really your tabs that they're selling, because if they're in guitar pro, they're already accessible to anybody. It's the service, the program, the interface, changing keys, etc. There's no need to pay for the service to access the tabs, but the tools that come with the service is what they're paying for, in my opinion. So really, UG is taking the same content and presenting it in a different format.

I'm not saying it does. I do not like they way UG has gone about this anyway. I remember when UG went through a phase of telling its members they would never try to sell anything to them and never place ads on the site and that hasn't lasted. It wrong that users don't see anything for their efforts but this would also be difficult to implement.
