Underoath Drummer Sidelined

The drummer/frontman of Christian Hardcore band Underoath, Aaron Gillespie, has stopped playing for the band due to an infection in his hand, which he is going to let heal for a while. The other members of Underoath went onto explain his absence:

"Aaron went to the hospital with a really bad infection in his finger caused by a blister from playing. Blisters are common for drummers but normally they don't get nasty infections in them."

A doctor performed minor surgery on Gillespie's hand, and has ordered him to not use it for at least a week. The drummer for Pop Punk band The Almost, Kenny Bozich, which be filling in his absence. The vocals will be filled in by band members Timothy McTague (lead guitar) and Spencer Chamberlain (lead singer).

LoL, that's so blind and one-sided that it's hilarious. If it was a serious stab at Christ though, perhaps an infection *forcing* him to take a week off was exactly what he needed, as he's ALWAYS on tour or in the studio. The dude NEVER rests.

he's with him and will help him through this. you can't blame all the bad stuff in the world on jesus, infact you cant blame jesus at all, you need to blame the devil, he's the one that makes everyones lives a misery. Jesus is real, God is real, the holy spirit is real, and yes, the devil is real, no doubt about it. there is so much evidence to prove it! also christian or not, you have to belive in jesus, cos non-christian scientists have actually found out that there was a man named jesus who claimed to do all the miricles and everything 2000 years ago. underoath are a great band, exactly what the christian faith needs, a good metal/ screamo band with a message behind the lyrics. i've known people who the doctors said they wont survive, theres been at least 2 cases of this, the doctors say they have an incurable illness and that theres no way at all that they will survive. now, those people are alive, healthy and getting on with the rest of thier lives. the doctors were wrong, well they were right, but god amazed them and showed that miracles still happen. So, to the point, where is jesus? well he's looking after him, and will halp him to make a full recovery. god bless.

o, ive been waitin for something like this to come along for awhile

*puts on arguing hat*

first off, u make it seem like u HAVE to believe in jesus or u WILL go to hell, i am atheist and i find that very offensive, u are only following the christian stereotype by shoving your religion down our throats, maybe thats y people make comments like that,

second thing, there is just as much evidence to prove that jesus existed as there is he didnt. Me personally? i believe that the bible is based off the star constellations and astrology (watch a little movie called zeitgeist and you'll know wat im talking about)

but, last but certainly absolutely not least, is i would never EVER, try to persuade a christian or any other religion for that matter to become atheist, as i would expect u to, so stop pushing your religion on us

What was the point of even saying that? You're dumb, just cause he's religious doesn't make him any different from anyone else, he just has certain beliefs that make each day easier to handle. I like Underoath, Switchfoot, and This Providence because they're bands with huge religious backgrounds but they don't try to sell it to you when you go see them and they keep it between themselves and God.

and right on Jane_Says, believe what you want to believe and never let anyone try to persuade you differently if you're hearts really in it.

Can't wait until Aaron's back on the road!

A frontman isn't necisarilly the person who sings...take AC/DC for example, half of the people who know about AC/DC don't even know who Brian Johnson is or who Bon Scott was, but everyone knows Angus because he's the frontman. I'd say Spencer and Aaron both share the title of frontmen in UnderOATH

According to science on the topic of Jesus, it was proven that Jesus was born 7 years after the "birth of Christ." It was shown that the star that the star the three wise men were following was an alignment of stars in the year 7 CE. Don't state that science can support the bible. Either you believe it or you dont, thats the way it works.

where is your jesus now?

he's with him and will help him through this. you can't blame all the bad stuff in the world on jesus, infact you cant blame jesus at all, you need to blame the devil, he's the one that makes everyones lives a misery.

Me personally? i believe that the bible is based off the star constellations and astrology (watch a little movie called zeitgeist and you'll know wat im talking about)

but, last but certainly absolutely not least, is i would never EVER, try to persuade a christian or any other religion for that matter to become atheist, as i would expect u to, so stop pushing your religion on us

umm if you dont believe in Jesus You DO goto hell..theres two ways...Heaven...and hell. one or the other no in between...he isnt forcing anybody to be a christian or to believe in God. Hes just saying His beliefs..
