I think I am the only one who got that quote haha
I was thinking it myself but you beat me to it.

This is just as I said it would happen a while ago. The only reason I listened to VR was because of Slash and Duff and their awesome guitar and bass sections, Scott never appealed to me anywhere outside of STP. Hopefully they find an awesome singer.

Or maybe one of these guys:

1. Sebastian Bach (Skid Row)
2. Casey Royer (Adolescents and D.I.)
3. Phil Anselmo (Pantera and Down)
4. John Bush (Armored Saint and Anthrax)
5. Denis Belanger (Voivod)
6. Maynard James Keenan (Tool)
7. Rob Flynn (Machine Head)
8. Keith Morris (Black Flag and Circle Jerks)
9. Paul Di'Anno (Iron Maiden, Di'Anno and Killers)
10. Tim "Ripper" Owens (Judas Priest, Iced Earth and Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force)

I hope they do continue without Scott-no-talent-anymore. Libertad sucks hard except for 2 songs. They need a singer that has a bit more songwriting vision to bring out the strengths of the other band members.
I would suggest someone but I don't really know any singers that would be up to the job.

Maybe they should do the next Rockstar!!!! (not)

Hmm, the fact that the Star reported it doesn't bode much credibility, as most British readers will attest.

You hit the nail on the head there. Slash really needs somebody to push him, again, like Axl.

Hmm I saw this coming. I liked how Scott's voice blended well with Slash's guitar playing. There are a couple people that would fit them. I think one that could fit well is the lead singer from Sixx: AM, James Michael.

I didn't think scott suited VR anyways, He never did the band justice. screw Bach too, he's a douche, and another whiny little bitch. I liked Skid Row, but after seeing him on that supergroup show, and seeing what a wanker he was, I realized why SR got rid of him...
VR doesn't need either of these guys. I'm sure they'll find an amazing singer.
Slash really needs somebody to push him, again, like Axl.

+1

Ohhhhh..... ...burn?

Anyway, yeah I've said pretty much the same thing on the last 6 or 7 VR articles that have popped up. Libertad was mediocre, STP is awesome, so I hope Weiland sticks with that and VR get a new vocalist.

Also, I'm sick of "rumors" ...fill up the space with real news, UG.

Yeah Bach is a great singer, but he wouldn't suit VR. I hate the guys anyways. It's a savage animal!!!

A good singer for VR would be Mark Lanegan from the screaming trees and he also did a bit of stuff with QOTSA too. He is an amazing singer and he would fit in nicely.

Sixx or Cornell would both be awesome singers to replace Scott. Sixx better than Cornell because Cornell tends to slow things down a bit more. anyways, Scott was good. his voice blended very well. and sebastian bach sucks major ass. so stop suggesting him.

i like scott and all, i mean i think he's got a pretty good voice, but i wouldn't mind a different VR singer, scott's got too many issues. i don't think seb bach would be a great choice, he doesn't really fit w/ the style of their music. i think they should do auditions and find someone completely new to the scene, they don't always have to go for someone famous.

New Press Releae from the other 4."Velvet Revolver founding members Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner announced today that they are parting ways with singer Scott Weiland. "This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn't 100% committed to either," said Slash. "Among other things, his increasingly erratic on-stage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on."

Mark Lanegan would make VR a hell of a lot more combustable than Scott ever could. I love Mark Lanegan (especially solo) but I don't think he'd fit in well with VR's style of music

yea, im not a huge fan of his voice though, but it would defiantly be awesome having him as rhythm guitarist and song writer like the good ol days

Original GNR Renunion wouldn't be bad. But for VR to get another vocalist, I really wouldn't know who. Sebastian Bach would be cool, but he doesn't fit with their music. Unless VR changed to Velvet Row or Skid Revolver

Well, if they got Matt then VR would have to change their style a bit, but same goes to any new singer in the band unless they are exact clones of Weiland.

are you on drugs? I've seen sebastian bach and scott weiland both live and scott is a million times better singer and frontman.
and Scott Weiland wrote all the lyrics on every VR song, and arranged all of their best ones. The songs that Slash arranged sucked ass, and were never heard if you weren't a die hard fan. I've seen VR twice, and Scott made those shows. I'm more looking foreward to the Stone Temple Pilots coming back than a new Velvet Revolver album.
