Hammerfall were recently forced to postpone their Finnish headlining shows (originally scheduled for early January) in order to allow singer Joacim Cans enough time to recover from an operation which he is due to undergo this month.
The opening acts on Hammerfall's upcoming European tour have been confirmed as veteran Swiss rockers Krokus and Swedish hard rock band The Poodles, consisting of vocalist Jakob Samuel (The Ring, ex-Talisman, Jekyll & Hyde), guitarist Pontus Norgren (The Ring, ex-Talisman), bassist Pontus Egberg (ex-Lion's Share) and drummer Christian Lundqvist.
Hammerfall's new album, "Threshold", entered the album chart in Germany at position No. 15. The CD also landed on the Swedish album chart at position No. 1. This is the band's first No. 1 in their home country since 2000's "Renegade".
