I know. This doesn't make much sense. The title of this article says he despied Chinese Democracy, but he was asked if he enjoyed it and he said "not one bit". That doesn't exactly mean he despised it.

For the second day in a row, a writer on UG went tabloid, gossip-style, this time using the word 'despised' though Adler never said it. Yesterday it was the Reznor story. Why try to be a sensationalist?

Bands like AC/DC had made a name for themselves of making pretty straightforward rock & roll albums before releasing Back in Black, but GNR's major debut kinda came out of the blue so people didn't quite know what to expect from the followup.

Many were expecting another landmark album that would shake the hell out of rock music like Appetite did, so as solid as that album was they probably wouldn't have gotten away with releasing the same thing over and over again

I'm sure everyone noticed the title and then saw that he spoke about the album in three short sentences....

That's some tabloid journalism right there, what with the twisting of the truth an' all

My frickin' Goooood.
When is this guy ever gonna shut up? And when the HELL is he ever gonna move on with his life? Basically all the interviews conducted with Steven Adler go like this:
"I was the original drummer for GNR, Appetite for Destruction was the best album of all time, mainly 'cause I was still in the band. Honestly, I am clean and sober now, and I love Slash, and I want to bring the original band back together again. I hate Chinese Democracy. I was the original drummer for GNR."

Every interview.

His situation is really sad. I mean, I think Steven was an awesome drummer for GnR, but he should really move on from those days. Every other member has new projects, so it's just depressing watching him get his hopes up for nothing.

I'd rather have a retarded monkey playing drums than this washed out drug addict. This ship has sailed a long time ago, GNR is not getting back together, and Slash is basically throwing him a bone, maybe motivate his dumbass to get clean and move on. UG needs to quit the whole tabloid gossip and print the truth, nothing more.

This is what they should do:
GUNS N' ROSES REUNION FEATURING:
Slash - Lead Guitar
Duff - Bass
Izzy - Rythm guitar
Steven - Drums
Matt - Vocals

Everyone would be happy except Axl... so yeah that's good enough.

It's beyond everybody's grasp because 70% of that album was done with computer effects that require no talent whatsoever. I'm glad he was honest and not trying to impress people by sucking up to Axl. Chinese Democracy is a joke.

He sounds so pathetic. Sure the album was the best GnR but Matt had a much better drum sound and overall is a much cooler person.

^^ is the reason why the word 'despise' is in the titel it's all the same with him so they make the titel more drametic so we keep reading,

and someone has to get back to the present.....

The interview was conducted by Beat magazine, a free "street press" music paper published in Melbourne. Adler was recently in Melbourne. I recall the interview being published and I believe that one of the larger musical instrument retailers were holding a drum clinic with him - I think Adler's Appetite were also playing a gig in town.

Those three sentences about him not liking Chinese Democracy came from the latter part of a single page interview.

The album is good, far from amazing. And if anyone here had like 15 years to put out an album im sure it would be pretty damn good no? And being part of the appetite album and then screwing it all up would be a hard thing to let go. What else can he talk about. I dont believe he went on to join any other bands so as long as journalists are gonna ask him the questions hes gonna talk about it.
