D'Addario Bowed artist, Ross Holmes, contributed fiddle and string arrangements to Album Of The Year winner "Babel" by Mumford & Sons. Holmes plays D'Addario Helicore Violin Strings, Medium tension and D'Addario EXP74 Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar strings.
Evans and ProMark drummer, Steven Wolf, won for his work on "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson which was awarded Best Pop Vocal Album. Wolf rocks Evans' G1 and G2 Coated drumheads as well as EMAD Clear bass drumheads and ProMark drumsticks.
D'Addario artist, guitarist Brian Ray, won for his work on the winner of Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, "Kisses On The Bottom" by Paul McCartney. Ray plays D'Addario EXL120 Pure Nickel Electric Guitar Strings.
Jay Z's guitarist and D'Addario artist, Clay Sears, swept the Best Rap Song categories including Best Rap Performance, Best Rap/Sung Collection, and Best Rap Song for the song "N****s In Paris" by Jay Z & Kanye West. Sears played EXP110 Coated Nickel Wound Electric guitar strings on the song.
Best Country Performance, Duo or Group went to D'Addario artists Little Big Town for their song, "Pontoon". Little Big Town use EXP16 Coated Phosphor Bronze acoustic guitar strings.
"Uncaged" by Zac Brown Band won the coveted Best Country Album award. Brown plays D'Addario EXP17 Coated Phosphor Bronze acoustic guitar strings. Brown, along with D'Addario artist Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, was also a featured performer in the Levon Helm Tribute Band, which performed The Band's "The Weight" with music industry legends Elton John and Mavis Staples.
Best Jazz Instrumental Album was awarded to "Unity Band" by The Pat Metheny Unity Band. Long-time endorsee Metheny plays EXL115 Nickel Wound Medium Electric guitar strings.
Rico Endorsee, saxophonist Bob Sheppard won Best Large Jazz Ensemble for his work on "Dear Diz (Every Day I Think Of You)" by Arturo Sandoval. Sheppard plays Rico Select Jazz Saxophone Reeds and La Voz Saxophone Reeds.
"Your Presence Is Heaven" by endorsees Israel Houghton & Micah Massey won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Song. Houghton plays EJ21 Nickel Wound Electric guitar strings and uses Planet Waves cables.
Guitarist and D'Addario endorsee Juan Pablo Daza won for his work on "MTV Unplugged Deluxe Edition" by Juanes, which won Best Latin Pop Album.
Bassist and D'Addario endorsee James "Hutch" Hutchinson, who plays plays ECB81 D'Addario Chromes Bass strings, was awarded for his work with Bonnie Raitt. "Slipstream" won Best Americana Album.
The Best Bluegrass Album award winner was "Nobody Knows You" by endorsing band, Steep Canyon Rangers who play D'Addario's EFT17 Flat Top Acoustic Strings, JS57 Banjo Strings, as well as Helicore violin strings.
Endorsees mandolin player, Chris Thile, and D'Addario Bowed endorsee and fiddle player Stuart Duncan won in two categories, Best Folk Album and Best Engineered Album-Non Classical, for their work on "The Goat Rodeo Sessions" by Yo Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer & Chris Thile.
The Best Spoken Word Album award went to "Society's Child: My Autobiography" by guitarist and D'Addario endorsee, Janis Ian. Ian plays EJ15 Phosphor Bronze Extra Light Acoustic guitar strings.
Rico endorsee Michael Maccaferri was awarded Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance for his work on "Meanwhile" by eighth blackbird; Maccaferri plays bass clarinet and Bb clarinet and uses Rico Reserve Clarinet Reeds.
