New Ibanez Iron Label RG Cast As Meanest Metal Machine Yet

Now in its 25th year as the reigning monarch of hard edge, high performance guitars, the Ibanez RG takes on yet another persona under the Iron Label designation.

Conceived and built to deliver the definitive metal guitar experience, the Iron Label RG jettisons flashy features for leaner handling and even more incendiary sound.

The Iron Label RG builds on the foundation of a select basswood body then enlists white-hot EMG active pickups for sizzling metal tone. Linked to a heavy-duty on-board kill-switch, output can be choked on the dime for jagged sonic strobe effects. Factor in a specially customized new Wizard neck - the Wizard Nitro.

6 and 7-string Nitro Wizard necks use 3-piece maple/bubinga construction, while the 8-string relies on a 5-piece maple/walnut arrangement to accommodate the added stress of 8-string tensioning. Superior density and stability afforded by the use of walnut and bubinga produce a neck that not only plays more solidly, but also offers better transference of string vibration between the neck and body for absolute killer sustain and tone.

True to the style, Iron Label finish options stick to the straight and narrow with high impact gloss black and gloss white-the only colors that matter when music goes metal.
