Probably, one of the most underestimated guitars of the past two and a half decades, the Ibanez S has seen a myriad of options, tailored to a range of different styles that have made it the first choice of guitarists of almost every genre. Even with such a varied history of performance features behind it, none have offered anything so brazenly armed as this latest incarnation, cast under the Iron Label profile.

Built for speed and comfort, the new Iron Label S draws its essence from the sleekly carved mahogany S body, classic Wizard neck, rock solid Gibraltar hard-tail bridge, and sonically matched Di Marzio pickups.

Known for its lightning fast playability, the classic Wizard neck has been upgraded to the Nitro Wizard, which features 3-piece maple/bubinga construction for maximum playing stability and transference of string vibration from the neck to the body. Specially chosen Di Marzio pickups provide raw power, rich detail, and total clarity, even when in down-tuning mode.

The Iron Label S is available in both 6 and 7-string models and is flawlessly finished in Iron Pewter.

I have the 6 string hard tails S and I have to say for the money, this is amazing. The neck is flawless, the direct mount pickups (Tone Zone/True Velvet/Air Norton)are spot on great choices and work really well with the body. I think the bubinga in the neck really provides a much higher end feel and again, the sustain is amazing. I had to do a set-up on it but once adjusted it's amazing. The fret job was so well done, I can get the action to under 1mm at the 12th fret with no buzz or fret out anywhere on the neck when bending. 5 stars.
