AC/DC Songs Used By Synchronized Swimming Team

Video footage of Australia's synchronized swimming team performing to an AC/DC medley in preparation for their appearance at this year's Olympic Games has made it's way online, reports Blabbermouth.

Sadly, the Australians were given a score of 77.430, the lowest of all eight finalists, at the London 2012 Aquatics Centre at Friday's (August 10) synchronized swimming Free Routine Final.

"It was an idea we all spoke about. We wanted something classically Australian and with a very strong beat," swimmer Eloise Amberger told the media about their choice of music for the routine.

"It was a joint idea of ours and our coaches. We were very proud and honored to be swimming to some Australian music. It was [a gamble] but we thought it was suitable. It's very strong, it's dynamic, it's Aussie. It just helped us get into the groove," she said.

Last year, Canadian synchronized swimming team members Elise Marcotte and Marie-Pier Boudreau-Gagnon gave an exhibition of their routine, featuring a mix of Metallica's "Master Of Puppets" and "Enter Sandman", during the Canadian Open championships at the Talisman Centre in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
