The "Cornerstone" is without a doubt one of the the best songs on the Arctic Monkeys' recent Humbug LP, so the fact that it's being released as the record's next single is very good news. Even better: the song is coming out digitally and as a 10" record with three brand new b-sides. Internet release is set for November 17; vinyl comes on December 8 via Domino.
Best of all, perhaps, is the song's new video - a charming one-taker featuring
Monkeys singer
Alex Turner hamming it up in vintage headphones in front of a white background. The
Richard Ayoade-directed clip relies entirely on
Turner's subtle star power, and the singer makes watching worthwhile.
