Breaking Benjamin Streaming Track From 'Shallow Bay: The Best Of ' On UG

Hollywood Records has announced a Greatest Hits collection titled Shallow Bay: The Best Of Breaking Benjamin from their multi-platinum rock band Breaking Benjamin to be released on August 16, 2011.

The two-disc release features the band’s chart-topping hits including "Breath," "So Cold," "Sooner Or Later," "The Diary Of Jane" and "I Will Not Bow," as well as an entire disc of rare recordings including never-before-released songs, live performances, rare acoustic recordings and remixes.

A remixed version of "Blow Me Away," the lead track from the two-disc set, features the soaring vocals of Syd Duran of the band Valora and is already heating up the rock radio charts. The song is available for fans on iTunes now.

That Syd Duran really ****ed up Blow Me Away, not only do the added vocals suck but it has inadvertently caused the demise of the band. Worst decision ever

Greatest hits albums are always greedy record companies looking to make extra cash. If you really want to support a band, go to their concerts and buy their merchandise. If you want to support record labels, then buy this crap.

This isn't the end of the band. I mean, I could easily play all of Aaron Fink's parts, I'm sure they will find a replacement. HELL, if Benjamin offered me the part, I'd do it for free! (kinda)

I kind of wish that they had the version of polyamorous from their first EP. IMO it's much, much better. Also, I will not be getting this as I already have all their albums, and I don't think Disk 2 offers enough for me to want to actually own it. I'll just get the songs I want off it from iTunes.

Klepaski and Fink should get Lifer back together. I doubt it would be a monumental task getting a new bassist and guitarist for BB. If that fails, Burnley should at least do a solo venture. He has a great deal too much talent just to waste over a legal dispute Breaking the band. Damn, just thought of that really.

The remix of "Blow Me Away" was just plain awful. If they were going to have female vocals, they could have remixed "Rain" or one of their softer songs. That song was supposed to be bad ass, fist pumping rock. And those vocals totally ****ed it up. Buy the original version on iTunes...

I think that Break Benjamin could be a lot like NIN, in that the lead singer and main songwriter just tours with a group of interchangeable musicians. If he wants total creative control over the songs (which he should have, if he writes the songs by himself with no input from the other band members) then he can't have a band in the tradition sense.

A guy with that much cash could easily go to a therapist and after a few months get over his fears, or at least have them to a reasonable level. With that said, it shouldn't be about the money anyway, should it?

Not quite... I think it was because the two released the single without discussing it with Ben. It sure seems like there must have been mounting tension though. As much of a bad idea as going behind Ben's back was, it doesn't seem like that's enough to split the band in half and start suing each other.

And somebody was saying that he ought to get a therapist, uh, if you know anyone who's been to therapy for a deep, ingrained issue like a phobia, you should know that it's not quite that easy. If it were just a matter of having the money to get treated, famous people would never die from drugs or alcohol. Ehem.

True but To be honest the bassist brought alot of attitude to the stage. also his stance was very Bbish. I liked Mark alot to be honest.

Blow me away was one of ben's favorite songs. he wrote it 100%. Having to find out it was remixed by hearing it already released is more than enough means for him to be pissed and fire the guys who authorized it.
