Chickenfoot have just released the third single from their "Chickenfoot III" album.
"Different Devil" surfaces just prior to the band’s week-long Road Test tour dates across Europe, which begin January 12 in Manchester.
With two former Van Halen members in Chickenfoot – singer Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony – the timing of the move is sure to fire up the Chickenfoot vs. VH debate amongst some fans, as the song also lands at radio at the same time as the new VH track, "Tattoo", arrives on the scene (hear that tune here).
Regardless, "Different Devil" represents a mid-tempo track from the band, following the first two rockers from the record – "Big Foot" and "Three And A Half Letters".
We’ll offer up the Chickenfoot podcast about "Different Devil", so you can check out the background on how the song came together, as well as album and live versions.

Chickenfoot – Different Devil (live @ TRI Studios, September 27, 2011):
Yank! This band is EXTREMELY over rated! I dig all the guys in the band but to me, it's just Van Hagar with a better guitar player but, collectively with a weaker sound!
Chickenfoot is good, but they are completely different band as compared to Van Halen. This is the only Chickenfoot to date that I enjoy. When they try to make a rock sound, it sounds like Sammy is trying to capture that Van Halen sound. They should stick to what they sound good with, like songs like this.
