Given the news headlines these days – Wall Street protest, anyone? – the new video from Chickenfoot could get some extra mileage for the band.
The track comes from "Chickenfoot III", released just last month.
"Three And A Half Letters (I Need A Job)" was inspired by letters received by Sammy Hagar, and some feedback provided by the band’s late manager, John Carter.
"I get a lot of letters, and I save ‘em," explains Sammy. "Some of them I read it and I go, you know what, ‘this sounds for real.’ I got this letter from this guy who just got back from Afghanistan, blah blah blah. I’m reading it, and he’s saying everything I’m saying in the song. Y’know... brother, I need a job. Bottom line – I just need a job. I’m not asking for money; I’m asking you, ‘do you have any work for me? I’ll come to work for you.'"
