Children Of Bodom: MP3 Preview, Video Released

Children Of Bodom, the esteemed Finnish Heavy Metal band, will release a full album of cover tunes containing 17 impressive remakes of the group’s all-time favorite songs this fall, reports Smnnews.com.

Titled Skeletons In The Closet, the record will drop on September 22 via Spinefarm Records / Fontana International. Children Of Bodom will launch a 20 city North American headlining tour in support of the record beginning Friday, September 18 in Providence, RI.

A first taste of what Skeletons In The Closet will deliver can be heard as 3 wild new Children Of Bodom remakes have been posted online via the band’s just refashioned MySpace page. Check out all the action including COB’s revved up take on Billy Idol’s "Rebel Yell", Creedence Clearwater Revival’s "Lookin’ Out My Back Door" and Suicidal Tendencies’ "War Inside My Head" now at this location.

Hey! why is Vivaldi's Summer Presto not on there. Its their BEST cover imo. Just rewrite that thing with bass and drums, put it in the middle as a sort of filler track and presto.

yeah, most have been already on reissues and old albums. I think that it should be considered more like a compilation cover album than a cover album. I wouldnt get it unless they re-recorded or remastered the songs, because some of them have kinda bad production

Keep in mind that if you aren't a downloader, you don't have access to a lot of these covers.
Some were only issued on Japanese versions if I'm not mistaken.

try writing album after album of epicness, it's no easy feat. besides, BD was released like the mid last year or something? - it's been just over a year, give 'em a break. if nothing else, this album just let them have some fun and practise their chops

the final countdown cover you have is probably by dispatched, as far as i know COB hasn't made a cover of that song, and COB are usually attributed to that cover on P2P networks

Final Countdown they never covered... Look it up on their site it even states they have never did it....

It could be that you have Norther's cover, for some reason people on P2P networks always confuse the two :P
