Indie rockers Death Cab For Cutie have big plans for their new video for "You Are A Tourist", and it's something that's never been done before.
On April 5, they’ll premiere the snip as a "scripted, single-take video, to be aired live as it is filmed", according to an Atlantic Records press release.
Fans can watch the whole shebang unfold live on at 7 p.m. EST on
YouAreATourist.com. No edits. No re-dos. Just the guys of Death Cab, filming their video in one big take. This will be the first-ever live, scripted, single-take music video to be broadcast as it is filmed.
The video will be directed by award-winning filmmaker Tim Nackashi - who has worked with such names as Radiohead, TV On The Radio and OK Go – and conceptualized by Aaron Stewart-Ahn, who worked on Death Cab's "I Will Possess Your Heart" video.
"You Are A Tourist" is the first single from Death Cab's upcoming album, "Codes And Keys", which drops May 31 in the U.S. (May 30 in the U.K.).
