Flaming Lips Release Three New Songs In Gummy Fetuses

The Flaming Lips have unveiled their latest crazy scheme: Gummy fetuses that contain USB drives preloaded with three new tunes.

Yes, that's right. Gummy fetuses. Very weird.

This comes on the heels of the band's April release of four songs in a gummy brain, which itself was encased in a gummy skull.

The Oklahoma psychedelic rockers have either fallen head over heels with edible gummy treats or they're riding a massive sugar high.

Talk about taking the term "music consumer" literally.

Also, as @FutureHeartDay also points out, The Flaming Lips are also remixing Grinderman's "Bellringer Blues", according to Wayne Coyne's Twitter.

As much as I love the Lips, I kind of wish they would just put out another album, I've enjoyed the songs for their albums more than I have these downloads put out this year.

they do lots and lots of EPs, and I'm sure an album with the better songs from these last EPs will appear on it rerecorded and better envisioned.
