Iggy Pop, Marilyn Manson and Grizzly Bear are all premiering their forthcoming albums via MySpace streams this weekend.
Iggy Pop's new jazz-inspired album, "Preliminaires", is streaming from his MySpace page beginning May 22. The album is inspired by a novel by French author Michel Houellebecq and marks the singer's 15th solo studio album.
Manson is also premiering his forthcoming album, "
The High End Of Low", on his
MySpace page over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The album is produced by
Manson,
Vrenna, and
Twiggy and was recorded in his Hollywood Hills studio.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn indie rock quartet Grizzly Bear are debuting their new album, "Veckatimest", on their MySpace page throughout the holiday weekend as well. The album gets its name from a Massachusetts island that the group visited while recording. It was produced by Grizzly Bear's own Chris Taylor (bass, woodwinds). Other band members include Ed Droste (vocals), Christopher Bear (drums) and Daniel Rossen (vocals/guitar). The band's new album is the follow-up to 2006's "Yellow House".
