Jack's Mannequin released their new album "The Glass Passenger" today, September 30th, and it is available for listening in full exclusively at the band's UG Profile!
The CD is the first since Andrew McMahon, originally from Something Corporate, made a full recovery from late-stage acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
The Glass Passenger is created from over two years worth of effort and inspiration. Though each track is somewhat autobiographical, they aren't necessarily directed from his life. "
My past is my past and a lot of this record is about that,"
Andrew states, "
but it is also about trying to write myself out of it. This is a record about trying to get well. It's about getting out from underneath something. I want people to receive the music for what it is and not have to contextualize it against my own personal battle."
The band is also preparing for the fall tour, called "Hammers And Strings: An Evening With Jack's Mannequin And The Glass Passenger." The shows will take place in very small venues.
