Kelly Clarkson Covers The White Stripes' 'Seven Nation Army'

Kelly Clarkson has covered The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" – you can listen to it below.

The singer surprised fans when she included the track during her performance at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.

Kelly introduced the track to the audience: "This is one of my favorite songs I've ever covered. I hope you like it."

Last year, Kelly Clarkson claimed that 50 songs she had been working on for her new album have leaked online.

The "American Idol" singer told her Facebook fans she had returned from holiday in Tahiti when she was told about what had happened.

"I get back in the States from a vacation and somehow 50 of my songs are leaked on the Internet?!" she said.

Hey, it happens. I'm just excited that now some Kelly Clarkson fan, somewhere is going to listen to the original and get either blown away, or have nightmares for the rest of their life.

I always love these stories. "I'm the biggest fan of x band!" or "I really like x band!" And what do they cover? Their most well known songs. Why don't they ever cover other songs by the same artists? So many White Stripes songs she could have sung but she went with the one that got remixed into some shitty club song. Oh well. Wasn't too bad.

But she doesn't claim to be a fan of the White Stripes. She just says Seven Nation Army is one of her favourite songs. Maybe she doesn't like their other songs?

That reminds me, My college was doin some festival kind of thing and they had some underground bands of different kinds, well anyway. One of them covered "The Nurse" Which is a very very unknown White Stripes song. It was pretty cool. And I was the only one who knew the words. Everyone around me was like "what is this crap?"
