According to Blabbermouth.net, "Whose Life (Is It Anyways?)", a brand new song from Megadeth, was premiered on the latest edition of Full Metal Jackie's nationally syndicated radio show. You can now stream a reduced-quality recording of the track in the YouTube clip below.
Due on November 1 via Roadrunner Records, Megadeth's new album, "Th1rt3en", was recorded at Dave Mustaine's Vic's Garage studio in San Marcos, California with producer Johnny K.
The artwork was once again created by artist John Lorenzi, who worked on the last two Megadeth studio albums, 2007's "United Abominations" and 2009's "Endgame", as well as the band's 2007 box set, "Warchest".
Megadeth filmed the "Public Enemy No. 1" video on September 17 in Santa Clarita, California. The clip was shot on a movie set where old Westerns are filmed.
CD track listing:

I'm quite disappointed to be honest. Maybe the album will take a few listens to fully absorb like previous Megadeth albums, but so far the preview tracks have all sounded stale and forgettable to me. I have been looking forward to this album for a while so hopefully there will be a couple of diamonds in the rough like there was with Endgame. We shall see
This is what Dave has been harping about and saying is so much better than anything Megadeth has done so far? Its not terrible, but its pretty weak compared to the majority of their back catalog, imo. =/
Dont like this song. so far its 2 good songs(public enemy, never dead) vs 2 bad songs(this, sudden death). If the rest of the album is like this, I will be really dissapointed.
I don't know how I feel about this. The opening riff is just two chords for the most part. Not very catchy imo. (Megadeth is my favorite band hence my name)
I think this is awesome song, so much crappy music these days, so this is nice change. Yeah it doesn't sound like Megadeth's best songs, but still it's Megadeth.
Really looking forward to the album. I *really* liked Endgame as it had some absolutely amazing guitar centerpieces throughout. They knew when to lay off the vocals and just shred the living hell out of your ear drums with guitars front and center. Not saying it was 100% perfect, but it gets regular play at least once a week since I bought the thing. I really can't say that about too many albums!
It's not that good IMHO. I've gotten a bit bored of simple thrash metal though, so thats probably the reason... Still beats anything Metallica have done since the Black Album.
There's tons of thrash bands coming out at the moment, that are endlessly more awesome to listen to than this (IMO) quite boring song. Havok, Forced Kill, Eruption, Bludvera, Insinnerator.. Now that's some crazy stuff. Either way, I digged the solo though!
I'm going to go listen to Looking Down the Cross and hope Dave starts doing drugs and drops Jesus and goes back to being cool or something similar to that.
Die-hard Metallica fan here, but I don't discriminate against Megadeth. Metallica is the band that got me into metal, and I love the sh*t out of that band. But...they're modern can't even compete with the new Megadeth album. Dave Mustaine is getting old too, but he was the oldest of the boys when they started jamming in the garage, and he's still kicking ass. This is going to be AMAZING. And I loved Endgame. Of the 2 albums I plan on buying at the end of the month...I think this one will be better than Metallica's by far.
I like it, but I also like Risk, so what do I know.
It just means you have a good, well-tolerating set of ears there sir.
I sure am glad though, that they're releasing quite a bit of singles for this album. It's giving me a better visual of what the album will sound like. I was left in the dark with Endgame, only having Head Crusher (which was amazing, but proved misleading when the rest of the album came out). Liked Endgame, but it would've been nice to hear another single from it (per say, 44 Minutes) to understand what the slower side of it would sound like.
Wow really? First they release "This Was My Life", then Metallica releases "That Was Just Your Life", now Megadeth releases "Whose Life Is It anyways?". Come on Dave....it's obvious.

That people keep looking for Mustaine v Metallica bullshit in everything he says even though its not there and hasn't been for a long time? Yeah it is.

I like how because I put Metallica in the same sentence as Megadeth, you automatically assume that's what I'm talking about. Hats off to you sir.

I'll have to check out the ones you named.. I dig the Thrash. You can't talk about new thrash without talking about Sylosis though!
I really hope that the title ends with "Anyway" and not "Anyways." I understand that not everybody needs to be an English snob, but Anyways isn't a word, and if Dave wants political credibility, little things like this can make people take him a lot less seriously. Ain't it funny how the irrelevant becomes so relevant to the opposition?
Not trying to be an ass, but really? It better be anyway and not anyways.
It's not thrashy enough, but still fun to hear. This album is not going to be monotone and its gonna be a good thing! Stuff for countdown and youthanasia, stuff thrashy as endgame and rust in peace, new stuff... some rock influenced stuff like this. Hey its gonna be interesting! It'll be refreshing without being risk
I give it one million points.
But the points don't mean a thing. That's right, just like the fact that metallica wasn't mentioned in an article to metallica haters, the points don't mean a thing.
It's a good song, but I prefer Never Dead over the songs they have released so far. It's a lot thrashier which I like more. Hopefully the rest of the album is more aggressive.
Never Dead is my favourite on the album, followed by this, then Black Swan. I wasn't too keen on this at first, but i've willed myself to get past the ohhhhh bit, and listen to the rest of the song. And trust me, once you listen to it a few times, this song will sound fantastic.
(if you got the reference you must have watched Whose Line is it Anyways)
